Museum of Photography is located right in the historical centre of Bratislava in the building of Central European House of Photography on Prepoštská Street. On a relatively small area, it presents the beginning and evolution of Slovak photography from 1839 until 1918. Along original works of the greatest Slovak photographers from this period, the exposition displays photographic equipment, information boards about the outset of Slovak and world photography, and examples of photographic techniques. In a special section, an interactive exposition allows visitors to see how camera obscura or stereophotography work, to create their own studio photography or try colorization. A separate room hosts thematic exhibitions of historical photography.
